Firewall Guide

Configuring Your Firewall To Allow Your Phone To Connect.

We recommend that before you begin this configuration you check that your Firewall is in fact blocking the phone’s communication by turning your Firewall completely off and then making a test call – just to confirm that when your Firewall is off you can call without a problem.

Please note: If you experience a situation where voice will not travel in one direction (you can not hear the called party or they can not hear you) then this is definitely a firewall problem and you should configure your firewall as set out below.

Note: Both software Firewalls (eg “ZoneAlarm”)  and any Firewall in your router or ADSL modem will need to be configured. Also insure that if you have Windows “XP” that you have XP’s firewall turned OFF (found under Advanced Properties for your Local Area Connection).

If your firewall allows you to open  incoming IP Blocks then open the following:

210.52.67.0 - 210.52.67.255

64.77.238.209, 64.77.227.177, and 64.77.234.219

This may be all you need to do. Please try a test call at this point.

If calls are still restricted then please open up all the following ports:

6000 & 6001:                     UDP

1719 & 1710 & 2000            UDP

1721 & 1720 & 1730            TCP

20000-39999                      TCP (for Conference Calling)

UDP 10000 AND UP :         VOICE STREAM

(Insure you open all ports above 10000 so the voice stream can get through)
